Job summary

**Job Title: Electrical Engineer****Location:** Orange, CT (60 Marsh Hill Road)**Number of Positions:** 1**Work type:** Office (on-site)The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from **$96,400** to **$120,500.****Job Summary**The engineer will lead teams/projects that solve moderately complex problems taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Able to work independently, with guidance. Position reports to the UI DER Unit Manager and support department needs as required.**Responsibilities:*** Solve moderately complex Distributed Generation (DG) problems. Utilizes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. (e.g. Customer generators, photovoltaic systems, fuel cells).* Approve, maintain, & understand drawings (e.g. schematics, one-line diagrams, site plans). Develop & specify equipment, assemble documents & other requirements for assignments of complex level of difficulty using depth & breadth of expertise in own discipline.* Manage and provide direction for resources outside of the department/company.* Possess knowledge within DG industry and interpret processes and standards related to DG systems. Recommend solutions and best practices where appropriate.* Perform standard electrical engineering analyses, designs and calculations using standard methodology and principles and other viable approaches. Develop alternate methods or design concepts to resolve problems or to improve processes/services.* Solve straightforward electrical engineering problems.
