Neiman Marcus is seeking aFacilities Maintenance Technician to oversee and repair building systems in a luxury retail environment. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and energy management, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and problem-solving across store operations.

You will coordinate with regional leadership on capital projects, manage energy usage, and support POS/telephone systems.

• Two to five years experience or four years apprenticeship in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Background in building maintenance, electrical, and HVAC.
• Able to multitask, communicate effectively, and work with others or independently.

• Inspect facility equipment including elevators, boilers, generators, and HVAC systems.
• Order maintenance supplies and assist in managing maintenance expenses.
• Assist with execution of capital planning projects and energy management systems.
• Support store systems such as POS and telephone systems and coordinate with contractors.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies; overtime may be required; ability to work with limited time off between Black Friday and Jan 8.

YOU WILL BE:

This position’s primary role will be the maintenance, repair and general upkeep of most systems in a
SFA/NM retail store. This position will aid in maintaining and troubleshooting all critical
building equipment that includes but is not limited to electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, dock doors,
lighting (lamps/ballasts), generators, flush valves, and facets.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Responsible for weekly preventive maintenance on all building equipment and building envelop, to include daily/weekly and monthly logging of safety inspections
• Inspections must occur on facility equipment such as vertical transportation, boilers, generators and HVAC
• Responsible for ordering maintenance supplies and assisting the Regional Manager in managing the maintenance expense accounts
• Assist Regional Manager with execution of capital planning projects.
• Engineer will maintain and/or coordinate all building energy management systems to include lighting through the Trane Ensemble Software.
• Store systems that may need support would include, but not limited to Point of Sale (POS) and Telephone systems
• Support of kitchen equipment may be required
• Must be able to respond to after-hours and emergency calls and overtime may be required
• Must be able to work with limited time off between Black Friday and January 8.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
• Two to Five years experience or four years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
• Must have a background in building maintenance, electrical, and HVAC
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and self-prioritize work assignments
• Able to work with others as well as independently and be a self-starter
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with regular bending, lifting and reaching both below the waist and above the head and able to climb ladders
• Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendors
• Understanding and knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) information
• Must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric
