Job summary

Caterpillar Solar Turbines Incorporated in San Diego, CA is seeking an Engine Mechanic to assemble, disassemble, and overhaul engines and driven equipment. You will balance rotating parts and work from schematics, photos, or instructions.

A high school diploma and 1 year of tool-related experience are required, with overtime and shift flexibility. Preferred candidates may have 3–5 years in turbine equipment maintenance and a trade certificate.

Responsibilities

Build complete engines and driven equipment prior to and after testing. Perform overhaul of engines, packages, and assemblies. Perform balancing of rotating parts and assemblies.**What You Will Do:*** Assemble, tear down, reassemble, and rework complete engines, assemblies, subassemblies, accessory units, and driven equipment.* Utilizing a working knowledge of turbomachinery products and working from operational paper, blueprints, written and/or oral instructions, or photographs.
