Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced nanny in Westfield, NJ for a bright 2-year-old daughter. Full-time with both live-in or live-out options. Schedule: live-out 8:00 am–6:00 pm, live-in 7:30 am–7:30 pm (Fri 7:30 am–3/4 pm). Compensation $1,300–$1,550 per week.

Covid vaccination required. Family vehicle provided and chores secondary to childcare. The role emphasizes nurturing, education, and safe, engaging days with cooking healthy meals, travel on trips, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for toddlers in a home setting.
• Ability to manage morning and evening routines.
• Willingness to perform light household duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with morning and evening routines, including dressing, hygiene, meals, and bedtime preparation.
• Transport the child to and from school.
• Provide engaging educational play, storytelling, music, outdoor activities, and developmental experiences.
• Offer healthy snacks and meals throughout the day.
• Maintain a safe, loving, and structured environment.
• Encourage positive behavior, independence, and age-appropriate responsibility.
• Support household tasks during school hours and naps, including laundry and meal preparation for the family.
• Shop for groceries and manage groceries.
• Vacuum and tidy the home.
• Organize play areas and the nursery.
• Clean the kitchen and clean up after meals.
• Guide the child to clean up toys and participate in simple household routines.
• For live-in, assist with maintaining nanny's bedroom/bathroom and overall home cleanliness; professional cleaners visit regularly.
