Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education, or related field.
• New Jersey teaching certification in Mathematics preferred.
• Middle school mathematics teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and address diverse learning needs.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the mission, values, and Catholic identity of Saint Ann School.
• Practicing Catholic preferred; candidates should demonstrate respect for and willingness to support Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to students in Grades 5-8 in a full-time capacity.
• Plan and implement rigorous, engaging, and developmentally appropriate mathematics instruction.
• Follow the school's curriculum and applicable Diocese of Trenton curriculum standards.
• Develop students' mathematical reasoning, computation, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Provide instruction in key middle school mathematics concepts, including number sense, operations, ratios and proportions, algebraic thinking, geometry, statistics, and pre-algebra/algebra concepts as appropriate.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, learning styles, and academic needs.
• Establish clear classroom expectations and maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
• Use various instructional strategies, technology, manipulatives, real-world applications, and problem-solving activities.
