Job summary

Country Meadows is seeking an Activities Assistant to create engaging experiences for residents and encourage participation in a vibrant community setting. The role includes coordinating activities and accompanying residents on outings to cultural and recreational venues.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, plus either prior group activity experience or a strong, energetic leadership style. A valid driver's license and good physical ability are necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in group socialization or recreational programs preferred, but not required.
• Energetic, personable leadership style.
• Ability to communicate intentions and directions to residents and co-workers. Active listening and empathy.
• Strong motivational skills to encourage resident participation.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations in the past three years.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this role.

Responsibilities

• Generate ideas for new and favorite experiences.
• Drive residents’ interest in a dynamic lifestyle to promote pride and purpose.
• Venture out with residents to theatres, museums, sporting events, restaurants, destinations and more.
• Team up with the Activities Coordinator and/or Associate in planning on- and offsite events and activities.
• Promote a positive, enthusiastic environment to motivate resident engagement.
