Zusammenfassung

Elderwood at Burlington is seeking a compassionate, creative, and energetic Activity Leader to join our team. You will plan, organize, and lead social, recreational, physical, creative, and cognitive activities customized to residents' interests and abilities.

You will work with the Activities team and other departments to build a calendar of experiences that encourages participation and meaningful connections, through arts, games, music, celebrations, outings, exercise, and events.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 18 yrs age required, HS diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New York Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
• Ability to develop good relationships with staff, volunteers, families and visitors required.
• Ability to inspire and motivate others, create a warm and accepting climate for residents and be able to adapt and modify activities to meet their needs required.
• Understanding of the rights and needs of residents required.
• Physical stamina for constant activity required.
• This position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or more advanced level.

• Get to know residents and incorporate their interests, hobbies, and histories into programming.
• Help create a welcoming and positive atmosphere throughout the facility.
• Collaborate with staff across departments to support meaningful resident experiences.
• Assist with documenting participation and maintaining activity-related records.
