Job summary

Overland Park Post Acute is seeking an Activity Assistant to join our team and help run a creative activities program tailored to residents' needs. The role involves planning, organizing, and facilitating various activities, while maintaining records and supporting transport when needed.

You will work under the Activity Director, with an emphasis on resident engagement, safety, and quality of life. No supervisory responsibilities are included in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferably one year experience in a long-term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting individual, small, and large group activities.
• Support communication among staff, residents, families, and other stakeholders.
• Develop monthly activity calendar and maintain attendance records.
• Assist in discharge planning and arranging transportation for residents.
• Keep the Activity Department organized, clean and secure.
