Job summary

Jewish Care is looking for an Activities Facilitator to plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of activities at the Betty Asher Loftus Centre (BALC). You will work with residents, families, volunteers and partners to create inclusive, personalised and enjoyable opportunities across the campus.

You will deliver group and individual sessions, organise outings and events, and help celebrate Jewish life, culture and festivals while maintaining records and ensuring safety in line with policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and facilitate a varied programme of activities across BALC.
• Deliver both group and individual activities, adapting them to different interests, abilities and needs.
• Organise outings, special events and celebrations throughout the year.
• Support activities that celebrate Jewish life, culture, traditions and festivals.
• Work across the campus to encourage residents to connect with each other and the wider community.
• Build positive relationships with residents and develop an understanding of their interests, preferences and abilities.
• Work closely with care teams and colleagues to identify opportunities for meaningful engagement.
• Develop relationships with volunteers, artists, performers and community organisations.
• Introduce new ideas and activities to keep the programme fresh, engaging and responsive to people's interests.
• Gather feedback and use your experience and observations to continually improve the activities programme.
• Maintain appropriate records and ensure activities are delivered safely and in line with Jewish Care policies and procedures.
