Job summary

GVI, Inc. in Keyport, WA seeks an Engineering Technician IV to provide configuration management and technical support for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport. Location is Keyport, Washington.

You will handle receiving and testing of sonar equipment, ensure manifests match, and maintain secure inventories. The role requires a SECRET clearance, strong communication skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Receiving Materials: Receive email notification or phone call about impending shipment of equipment.
• Stage area for receipt of materials.
• Receive pallets and/or cabinets of miscellaneous Sonar Equipment.
• Transport materials from shipping dock to staged area.
• Unpack, breakdown, and sort pallets of the received materials.
• Ensure that the shipping manifest matches the materials received.
• Conduct security checks on received material, label material with appropriate security markers as checks are completed.
• Inspect cabinets and compare them to paperwork in order to determine if unit is to be broken down to individual components.

• Separate recyclable materials and batteries for disposal.
• Testing of Materials: Performing in-house testing of components or materials in accordance with appropriate procedures.

• Maintain confidential and secret inventory of drawings and change documents.
