Job summary

HOK offers a hybrid work environment for students pursuing civic/structural engineering internships. Under close supervision, you will perform basic design tasks, develop drawings, and organize project documents while collaborating with the project team to meet tight schedules.

Preferred candidates are currently enrolled in an engineering degree program and may have prior internships with engineering or architectural design firms. This role emphasizes sustainability and client service.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in civic/structural engineering or related degree program.
• Previous internship with an engineering or architectural design firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs elementary structural engineering assignments and works from designs of others.
• Develops, modifies and/or reviews drawings.
• Organizes and maintains documents for specific projects.
• Works closely with project team and assists to complete projects on aggressive schedules.
• Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
• Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
