Job summary

District of Columbia Government is seeking a senior manager in the Office of the General Counsel to oversee enforcement programs across the Department of Energy and Environment. The role involves supervising a branch, guiding enforcement efforts, and coordinating with DOEE teams to ensure compliance with environmental laws.

The incumbent will supervise staff, develop enforcement policies and procedures, and conduct strategic reviews of enforcement activities.

Responsibilities

• Manages plans, directs, and supervises the operation of a branch within OGC with responsibility for enforcement across the Department.
• Carries out complex, diversified work assignments including auditing enforcement program activities and developing solutions.
• Recommends and formulates enforcement policies, guidelines, procedures, strategies, training, and capacity building.
• Works with branch staff and attorneys to plan, develop, and administer enforcement policies and procedures across DOEE.
