Job summary

The New York City Conflicts of Interest Board (COIB) is hiring an Enforcement Attorney for its Enforcement Unit. The attorney will handle a variety of challenging cases across City government, review evidence, draft charges, negotiate settlements, and litigate at the NYC Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings.

An ideal candidate will demonstrate strong legal analysis and an interest in City government workings; NYS Bar admission is required with the appropriate experience level.

Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
• One year of US legal experience after admission or six months as Agency Attorney Interne.
• Strong legal analysis and litigation aptitude desired.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle challenging cases across New York City government.
• Review evidence, draft charges, negotiate settlements, and litigate at the OATH.
• Engage in sophisticated legal analysis and clear written work.
