NextEra Energy seeks an experienced Tax Abatement Attorney to join our legal team and lead property tax initiatives across renewable and traditional energy projects. You will develop strategies to optimize abatement opportunities, navigate PILOT agreements, and coordinate with regulatory and development teams to ensure compliance and favorable outcomes.

The role requires a JD, bar admission, and 1+ years in tax abatement or property tax matters.

Qualificações

• Active membership in good standing of a State Bar.
• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ years of experience in tax abatement or property tax law.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute tax abatement strategies for energy projects (solar, wind, storage).
• Negotiate PILOT agreements with local taxing authorities.
• Manage IDA applications and compliance.
• Structure transactions to maximize ITC and PTC credits.
