Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 10 years' energy storage/power project experience; EPC project exposure.
• Proven leadership with at least 3 years of people management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; multilingual Japanese/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-construction efforts for energy storage projects, ensuring planning, coordination, and execution align with project goals and client expectations.
• Develop and review project scope, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with engineering and construction teams.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project readiness, including permitting, site assessment, and resource allocation.
• Manage and oversee subcontractors and vendors, ensuring safety, quality, and technical standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and documentation for project management and clients.
• Ensure all pre-construction activities adhere to safety policies and company procedures.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and training initiatives related to project deployment.

Energy Storage Pre-Construction Manager

Overview

System One is seeking a storage pre-construction manager for a full-time position in Lake Mary, FL. The Manager of Construction Training is responsible for leading, developing, and executing the construction training and certification programs for Technical Field Advisors (TFAs) involved in the mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation installation, erection, and cold commissioning of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and associated auxiliary equipment, electrical control systems, and power supplies. This role ensures that Construction TFAs are technically competent, safety-focused, and fully qualified to execute field installation and precommissioning activities in accordance with company standards, project requirements, and applicable codes. The Manager of Construction Training works closely with Construction Leadership, Engineering, EHS, and Commissioning teams to align training content with project execution needs and downstream commissioning requirements. The Manager of Construction Training reports to the Project Manager of PMO Training & Certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering, Energy, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in energy storage, power projects, or related construction management roles.
• Proven experience with EPC power projects, including project planning, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with at least 3 years in people management and development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; multilingual abilities in Japanese and/or Spanish are a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and reporting tools; Power BI experience is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site, travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Valid driver's license and passport required.
