Job summary

Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. is seeking an Energy Services Intern to support member and customer generation, transmission and services billing functions, including monthly reporting.

The role also performs after-the-fact checkout for energy and transmission transactions. You will gain hands-on experience with energy markets, financial settlements, billing processes, data analysis, and transmission operations while collaborating with experienced professionals who make a direct impact

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
  • Strong mathematical, organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency with Excel preferred.
  • Ability to learn and work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience can be substituted.

Responsibilities

  • Support administration of MV90 daily interval meter data and compare against RTU/HMI data by delivery point.
  • Validate the accuracy of energy transaction data in MCG and the Member Hourly Cost Causation (HCC).
  • Perform after-the-fact checkout for energy and transmission transactions with ACES and counterparties, and preparing billings.
  • Resolve billing issues, including transaction, curtailment, and contract issues.
  • Prepare monthly generation/transmission services and economy billings.
  • Archive data for internal records and provide customers with requested monthly data.
  • Enter financial settlement data into SAP and prepare monthly member and customer reporting to internal departments.

Job description

PURPOSE: The Energy Services Intern will support AEPCO's member and customer generation, transmission, and services billing functions including monthly reporting. Additionally, this position performs after-the-fact checkout for energy and transmission transactions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related technical field.
  • High mathematical, organizational, and analytical ability.
  • Proficiency with Excel preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience can be substituted for requirements listed above.

ESSENTIAL AND MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
