ACES in Carmel, IN is seeking a Quantitative Analyst I to develop, maintain, and enhance portfolio optimization and risk models. You will interact with clients to identify portfolio risk exposures and assist in evaluating hedging strategies that support business objectives.

The role requires strong organization and quantitative skills, experience with R/SQL/Python, and proficiency in Excel. A bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of experience are needed, with travel as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, economics, finance, computer science, or an appropriate discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Quantitative analysis to assist clients with management of physical, financial, and market risk exposures.
  • Builds and maintains stochastic energy portfolio optimization models.
  • Provides reports with detailed analysis of portfolio cost, hedge position, and risk metrics for clients and senior management.
  • Assists in evaluating hedging strategies, structured transactions, and long-term asset developments.
  • Communicates with clients to understand and address analytical needs.
  • Collaborates within and across teams to manage data and innovate data solutions.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Complies with ACES policies and regulatory requirements.
