Job summary

IBM Consulting in Washington, DC is seeking an Enterprise Strategy Consultant focused on Energy Project Development to help federal energy organizations deliver resilience and infrastructure initiatives from planning through financing and execution. You’ll lead scoping, stakeholder coordination, and strategic analysis with government leaders and industry partners.

The role emphasizes data synthesis, risk assessment, and compelling executive briefings, with PMP certification and federal program

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Energy Management, or related field.
  • PMP certification and federal program experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting DoW civil engineering, energy, facilities, infrastructure, resilience, or program management initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Energy Project Development: manage key phases of the project lifecycle including scoping, site selection, approvals, acquisition support, and financing strategies.
  • Conduct Industry and Market Research on energy technologies, infrastructure trends, regulatory considerations, financing mechanisms, and best practices.
  • Gather, Analyze, and Synthesize Data to assess feasibility, risks, and strategic recommendations.
  • Coordinate Complex Stakeholder Engagements with federal agencies, utilities, developers, financiers, and industry partners.
  • Drive Project Execution and Delivery by coordinating activities across stakeholders and ensuring milestones are met.
  • Perform Strategic Business Analysis including policy, technology, financing, governance, and value analyses to inform investments.
