Job description

Center Forward seeks a hard-charging, collaborative Energy Program Manager to manage and implement a programming agenda for energy issues. This individual should be inspired by our mission to provide centrist allies with the information they need to craft common-sense solutions and support those allies in turning those ideas into tangible results.

The primary role of the Energy Program Manager in the organization is to develop, coordinate, and execute a robust programming agenda to achieve organizational goals specifically related to the latest legislative and industry developments on energy issues. The Energy Program Manager will report to the Executive Director and will succeed by:

  • Serving as the team lead in all matters within the energy portfolio to plan and develop issue-oriented programming to satisfy the needs of current stakeholders and engage new, prospective stakeholders
  • Leading the execution of Center Forward’s Annual Energy Innovation Conference in a TBD domestic location
  • Leading the creation and execution of Center Forward’s Annual Energy Summit in Washington, D.C
  • Tracking and analyzing legislative, industry, and regulatory developments and proposals important to stakeholders and keep the team apprised of new information
  • Conducting legislative and third-party research, analysis, fact-checking, and editing to draft policy Basics series
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with committee staff, legislative directors, and legislative assistants
  • Working with ally convener and policy organizations to promote Center Forward’s initiatives and programming
  • Setting up and maintaining detailed files and records of all work
  • Answering routine inquiries when necessary and be able to speak professionally about the work and brand of Center Forward
  • Performing various other duties that may be assigned from time to time based on the needs of the organization

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for the Energy Program Manager position (salaried, exempt) is $75,000 – $85,000 USD.
