Job summary

The County of Yolo is recruiting a regular, full-time Energy Program Manager in the General Services Department to lead the energy program's policies, procedures, and systems. The ideal candidate has public-sector energy management experience, with distributed generation, decarbonization, and end-use load management knowledge.

Knowledge of EV charging infrastructure and demand response is a plus. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and several years of related experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the areas of energy and utility management experience.
• Strong engineering foundation in HVAC, boilers, lighting, electrical power distribution, and control systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal lead to develop and implement energy program policies, procedures, and systems.
• Exercise supervision over lower level supervisory, technical, operational and/or clerical staff.
• Support energy management strategies including distributed generation and load management.
