Tallgrass in Lakewood, CO is offering a Fundamentals Analyst Intern for Summer 2027. This in-person/remote hybrid internship runs May–August for 10 weeks, paying hourly wages of $24.81–$37.09.

You’ll work with our analysts to track regional natural gas fundamentals, organize data, and translate insights into clear, actionable reports. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Economics or a related quantitative field, with Excel skills and familiarity with Python/SQL.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or related quantitative field.
• Solid grasp of core economic concepts—supply/demand, price signals, and market equilibrium.
• Excel is required; Python/SQL or similar a plus.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Curiosity about energy markets and the numbers behind them.

Responsibilities

• Regional Natural Gas Fundamentals — Track and analyze supply, demand, storage, and flow dynamics; explain price movements and market balance.
• Data Organization & Optimization — Build and maintain clean datasets; identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Report Development — Contribute to recurring and ad-hoc reports translating fundamentals into insights.
