Job summary

Google seeks a Strategic Negotiator for Energy Market Development in the MISO region. This role influences market design and regulatory frameworks to protect Google’s data centers and advance sustainability goals.

You will lead cross-functional teams with Infrastructure, Policy, and Legal to translate decarbonization goals into practical market positions and to build influential industry coalitions across utilities and trade associations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluations of energy regulatory developments in the MISO region and monitor market trends and tariffs to protect Google's data centers.
• Formulate and execute Google's MISO stakeholder strategy across governance bodies to shape market design and interconnection rules.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Product, Policy, and Legal teams to translate decarbonization goals into market positions.
• Drive coalition advocacy within MISO processes with regional partners and trade associations.
• Monitor MISO tariff filings and FERC proceedings to support long-term energy supply agreements.
