Job summary

Sirius Staffing is seeking an Energy Management Analyst to support Tampa Electric Company's mandated conservation programs and communicate safe and efficient use of energy to customers. The EMS Analyst team supports marketing and sales of Zap Cap and Renewable Energy Programs, ensuring programs are delivered in accordance with the Florida Administrative Code in a fashion that meets customer and company expectations. Pay: $41.00 per hour.

Schedule: 1st shift. Location: ON-SITE, Brandon, FL.

Qualifications

• Requires valid HS diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years in energy management or electric utility.
• Experience handling high bill resolution and meter operation.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

• Strong planning and organizational skills for autonomous field work.

Responsibilities

• Administers in-house conservation training within 2 months of start date.
• Conducts energy audits (walk-through) for residential customers.
• Performs attic inspections to qualify homes for insulation and ductwork programs.
• Administers neighborhood low-income weatherization program as needed.
• Inspects post-install insulation upgrades and ductwork repairs.
• Resolves high-bill inquiries via phone and field visits using audit techniques.
• Markets energy programs to achieve department goals.

Job description

Sirius Staffing is seeking an Energy Management Analyst to support all of Tampa Electric Company's mandated conservation programs and communicate safe and efficient use of energy to the customers. The EMS Analyst team supports marketing and sales of residential and commercial Zap Cap and Renewable Energy Programs. They are responsible for ensuring the programs are delivered in accordance with the Florida Administrative Code in a fashion that meets customer and company expectations.

Pay: $41.00 per hour

Schedule: 1st shift

Location: ON-SITE, Brandon, FL

This is a temporary 6-month assignment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Successfully completes in-house conservation training necessary to administer the residential conservation programs within two (2) months of start date.
2. Conducts Free Energy Audit (walk-through) for Residential Customers.
3. Conducts attic inspections to qualify customer homes for the Insulation Incentive and DuctWorks Programs.
4. Analyst will administer TEC's neighborhood low-income weatherization program, as needed.
5. Inspects post-install Insulation upgrades, post-ductwork repairs, and other TEC verifications as necessary.
6. Resolves Residential High Bill inquiries via phone and field visit, using audit techniques and appliance load calculations to troubleshoot potential malfunctions.
7. Markets Residential Energy Planner, Prime Time Plus, Zap Cap and Renewable Energy programs and other Company initiatives (ex. eBill, Power Updates) to achieve Department goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid High School Diploma or Valid GED
• Minimum 2 years related experience in energy management or electric utility industry.
• Experience in electric high bill resolution and meter operation.
• Above average mathematical and analytical skills to perform calculations necessary to administer conservation programs.
• Above average oral and written communication skills, judgment and decision-making skills to effectively deliver audit findings and rebate program qualifications to Customers.
• Proficient planning and organizational skills to coordinate personal, autonomous work schedule to maximize time available for field activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates or Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Any Association of Energy Engineers certification, such as REA, CEA, CEM or BEP
• Knowledge of TECO Customer Service programs, Zap Cap Program and energy conservation techniques.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical ability to safely carry and maneuver a thirty-five (35) pound ladder, climb throughout attics to perform audits and inspections in adverse conditions such as superheated attics and outdoors in the sun and rain.

Driving 25% of the day; 75% spent in a combination of working with Customers in their homes, working outdoors and in attics, walking, bending, and climbing. (Mileage Reimbursement)

Must pass a level 2 physical and wear personal protective equipment.

Must have a valid Florida Driver's license with a clean driving record.
