Job summary

RBC Capital Markets, LLC seeks an Investment Banking Associate for the Energy Coverage Team in Houston, TX. You will support M&A and financing transactions, build client presentations, and perform detailed financial modeling.

Role involves coordinating with Industry and Product groups, identifying operational risks, and upholding firm policies while leading multiple deals and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/MBA/MA/MS with emphasis in finance/accounting/engineering.
• 1–2 years of Investment Banking experience; energy space preferred.
• Experience leading M&A deals in financial institutions; multi-deal leadership.
• Strong finance, accounting knowledge and advanced financial modeling skills.
• SIE, 79 and 63 licenses or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in execution of M&A and financing transactions, develop presentations, and conduct detailed financial analysis.
• Work with Analysts to develop pitch books and client materials.
• Coordinate with Industry, Product and other groups to evaluate and execute opportunities.
• Identify operational risks and control deficiencies in the business.
• Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your activities.
• Escalate risk events and deficiencies to line manager and risk/control functions.
