Job summary

Williams-Sonoma in Houston is seeking a Project Director to lead complex energy infrastructure projects spanning natural gas, liquids, and power systems. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design and delivery of processing plants, compressor stations, pipelines, and power generation units.

Focus on technical excellence, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to align with business goals, while shaping critical infrastructure and growing with a values-driven team.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and a minimum of seven (7) years in engineering, project controls, commercial development operations and/or project management within an oil and gas industry
  • Preferred: Master's degree in engineering or related field and a minimum of five (5) years in engineering, project controls, commercial development operations and/or project management within an oil and gas industry

Responsibilities

  • Leads cross-functional project teams including engineers, project managers, and technical specialists to deliver high-impact outcomes
  • Drives development and oversight of multi-year departmental budgets with forecasting and cost controls
  • Oversees creation, review, and approval of detailed technical project documentation
  • Evaluates complex technical alternatives and conducts in-depth analyses for decision-making
  • Communicates milestones, risks, and updates to senior leadership
  • Implements scalable work processes and tools to improve execution
  • Fosters partnerships with contractors, producers, and customers for successful delivery
  • May travel up to 25%
