Job summary

Ameresco, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee a growing pipeline of energy and infrastructure projects from an on-site office.

You will lead daily on-site management, coordinate with engineering teams and subcontractors, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety compliance while delivering value to public and private sector customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years electrical, mechanical, engineering, or industrial power construction project management.
• Experience with complex facility infrastructure construction, renovations, retrofits, upgrades.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily administrative and technical on-site management of construction projects delivering energy savings.
• Assist engineering and construction teams in design, scope, cost estimation, installation, and scheduling.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for cost, schedule, and delivery.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality and on-time delivery within budget.
• Provide project reports, documentation, and technical assistance.
• Manage project expenditures and job cost accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Foster positive business relationships across all levels.
• Perform other duties as required.
