Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Will have completed CPA licensure eligibility in the resident state by start date
• Minimum four years of tax experience
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to meet client service, quality and performance expectations
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and firm personnel
• Effective project management skills and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work in a professional office and at client sites as required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on federal energy credits and excise tax issues for clients
• Research technical issues and provide consultative input
• Prepare computations, workpapers, opinions, and supporting materials for energy taxes
• Understand credit usage and relevant limitations and risk
• Train staff on programs and processes to deliver accurate output
• Serve as in-charge on projects, delegate tasks, and coordinate with clients
• Analyze materiality and risk, discuss solutions with management
• Identify opportunities to extend tax services and deliver results
