Job summary

Piper Sandler is seeking an Equity Research Associate for the Energy - Power Generation group in New York, NY. You will work with a senior analyst on in-depth company and sector research, build financial models, and prepare investment recommendations.

You will also help market research to sales teams and institutions as you gain industry expertise. The role requires 1-3 years in equity research or investment banking, strong modeling skills, and CFA progress is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Equity Research or Investment Banking experience.
• Strong financial modeling experience.
• Interest in stock market and investment research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior analyst with extensive company and industry research.
• Create financial models and valuation analyses.
• Produce company and industry reports with investment recommendations.
• Develop relationships with management teams via meetings, calls, roadshows.
• Attend company visits and conferences to deepen industry knowledge.
• Support marketing of research to sales teams and institutional investors.
