Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an Energy Engineer to join a multidisciplinary architectural, engineering and construction firm in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on project management, operations, maintenance, and energy audits to improve building performance.

You will conduct site walk-throughs, assess energy usage, and work with engineers to review plans while coordinating with vendors and contractors to drive project completion. A PE is preferred and 5+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; PE certification is desirable.
• 5+ years of experience in the field.
• Certified Commissioning Professional credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site walk-throughs of current technologies, including cost and maintenance information.
• Assess and research existing site energy usage to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop or review plans.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to source resources and complete projects.
• Support all project aspects including energy audits.

• Conduct site walk-throughs of current technologies, including cost, maintenance, and other pertinent information.

• Assess and research existing site energy usage to identify areas of improvement.

• Work collaboratively with other engineers in developing new or reviewing existing plans.

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for resources and project completion.

• Support all project aspects including energy audits.

Must Haves

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering, and PE certification is desired

• 5 or more years of experience in field
