Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering or related field.
  • Between five (5) to seven (7) years of demonstrated professional experience in the energy sector.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate complicated issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing deadlines in a fast-paced, deliverable-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the initiative to work independently on assignments, learn new skills, and mentor colleagues.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness for regular travel domestically. Typical trips to client sites may be ½ day or full day and within driving distance. Some trips may require air travel and some trips may extend to 1 or 2 weeks duration.
  • Valid driver’s license (vehicle ownership not required).

Responsibilities

  • Lead site visits and collect data, document building conditions using equipment, software, photographs, and forms.
  • Analyze data with analytical techniques and software such as MS Excel, Python, or R; identify trends.
  • Quantify impacts from energy interventions and perform ROI analyses.
  • Support projects for HVAC, electrical, PV, BESS, EV, and other systems.
  • Prepare and present findings through reports, memos, and presentations for varied audiences.
  • Engage clients (utilities, municipal, state agencies) to scope needs and build partnerships.
  • Manage own work, balance priorities and communicate with leadership.
  • Lead small teams of consultants, monitor budgets and deliverables.
  • Support business development through client relations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality work.
  • Deliver work on-time and on-budget.
