Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking an Energy Auditor II to perform on-site energy assessments for small business tenants and building owners in Washington, recommending efficiency upgrades and guiding customers through rebates and program options.

You will install energy-saving devices, collect data, and develop reports while mentoring junior staff. Expect travel up to 75% and a focus on delivering high-quality service and measurable energy savings.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of energy auditor experience or equivalent.
  • Residential building construction or HVAC install/sales experience.
  • BPI Fundamentals or above is required.
  • Two years of related work experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

  • Perform walk-through energy assessments of properties to identify energy-saving opportunities.
  • Install energy-saving devices including LED lighting and thermostats.
  • Explain assessment findings and rebates to building owners.
  • Enter data into spreadsheets/databases to compute energy savings.
  • Produce written reports and coordinate with Program Manager as needed.
  • Mentor new Energy Specialists and assist with field trainings.
