Fredrikson & Byron seeks a transactional associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our Energy department. The role focuses on commercial contracts, supplier agreements, energy storage contracting, construction agreements, M&A, and project finance. Hybrid work arrangements are available, with preference for Minneapolis but remote or other offices may be considered.

Ideal candidates will have a U.S. JD, active license, strong academics, and excellent writing and analytical skills

• J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial and transactional matters including contracts and supplier agreements.
• Assist with energy procurement arrangements and energy storage contracting.
• Work on construction, M&A transactions, and project finance.
• Collaborate with the energy department and clients; arrangements may be hybrid/remote as reviewed case-by-case.

Candidates should have experience in commercial/transactional work and an interest in the energy industry. This position offers a hybrid work environment. While candidates based in our Minneapolis office are preferred, we will also consider candidates interested in working from another Fredrikson office or candidates desiring to work remotely; arrangements would be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
