Job summary

ENFRA in Kentucky is hiring an Energy Analyst II to organize and analyze utility and energy-use data to assess cost-saving opportunities. The position involves working with clients, engineers, and contractors to review energy performance and develop actionable recommendations.

You will conduct energy audits, modeling, and M&V planning, build dashboards, and support remote monitoring. A Bachelor's in a technical field and strong Excel plus analytics skills are required, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment.
• Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
• Engineering Intern (EI) licensure preferred.
• Energy engineering certifications (CEM/CMVP/CEP/CEA/EEP/BEP) preferred.
• Experience with energy efficiency programs.
• Experience in analyzing utility data.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, or R.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze utility consumption data and rates.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of utility procurement logistics.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of possible utility energy efficiency rebate and incentive programs.
• Research utility rate changes and deregulated energy cost trends.
• Conduct energy benchmarks using EPA Energy Star and other tools.
• Review utility invoices for errors and resolve issues.
• Create utility budgets.
• Assist with the collection, review, and analysis of data from field surveys and building systems.
• Develop energy models and life cycle cost analyses.
• Develop M&V plans and dashboards for ongoing monitoring.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation.
