Job summary

MEMS is seeking an Accountant II to manage monthly close, financial reporting, and support for LNG operations with expansion to other energy businesses. You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, and AR/AP activities while driving process improvements and automation initiatives using tools like Power Query, Power Apps, and Excel Copilot.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and familiarity with energy trading or commodity-related

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
At least 2 years in an Accountant role.
Experience with Accounting systems, ETRM, and retail power billing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform monthly and quarterly accounting and closing activities for LNG operations and other energy businesses.
Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial reports, including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow statements.
Support billing, settlement, and related data processing activities.
Contribute to budgets/forecasts and variance analysis.
Coordinate internal/external audits and assist with tax information requests.
