YMCA in Barrington, RI seeks a Health and Wellness Instructor for part-time duties at Bayside. Provide quality aerobic and fitness class instruction within YMCA standards, and energize participants with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities include demonstrating proper form, ensuring safety, setting up equipment, attending staff meetings, and serving as a friendly member service ambassador while pursuing ongoing professional development and certifications.

Formación

• High School (GED) preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in fitness or wellness roles.
• CPR (In-house) / AED certification.
• Group Exercise Instructor Certification and YMCA certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide enjoyable, high quality class instruction.
• Demonstrate and instruct proper exercise per standards.
• Ensure health and safety of all in the fitness area.
• Set up and break down equipment as needed.
• Find coverage for self and notify the Program Director.
• Attend staff meetings and events.
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers and members.
• Encourage participants and represent YMCA positively.
• Advance professional development with trainings and courses.
• Greet members and address them by name.
• Design group classes per national guidelines.
