Job summary

UFC GYM in Chicago is seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Group Fitness Instructor to lead engaging, safe, and results-driven fitness classes for members of all fitness levels. You will motivate participants, teach proper form, and ensure a positive studio environment.

The role focuses on structured class planning, cueing to music, safe equipment use, and clear communication with participants and staff. A current group fitness certification is preferred, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of exercise science and safe training techniques.
• Understand anatomy and kinesiology.
• Experience with group fitness instruction, including music timing and cueing.
• High energy level and physical stamina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured group fitness classes.
• Cue music timing and maintain safe, well-paced choreography.
• Demonstrate exercises with clear cueing and transitions.
• Educate participants on form, modifications, and safety.
• Ensure safe use of equipment and enforce studio guidelines.
• Welcome and orient new participants.
• Motivate members and foster a positive class environment.
• Record hours accurately in the timekeeping system.
• Set up and store all equipment properly.
