Job summary

CampusWorks is seeking an Endpoint Systems Administrator to support Windows, macOS, iPads, and school devices across the organization. You will manage imaging, deployment, patching, mobile device management, and printer servers, while ensuring security and high availability.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of systems experience in a Microsoft server and desktop environment.
  • Experience with LANs/servers; Windows, Office, Apple products, and diverse apps.
  • Hands-on with MDM/endpoint tools such as Intune, SCCM, JAMF, Apple School Manager.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Network+, JAMF, Microsoft Intune or endpoint management.
  • Strong PowerShell and Linux scripting skills.
  • Experience supporting third-party software integrations, licenses and deployments.
  • Strong printer server administration: deployment, drivers, queues, enterprise printing.

Job description

Under the direction of the Director of Infrastructure, the Endpoint Systems Administrator supports the day-to-day administration, deployment, security, software integration, print services, and lifecycle management of the college’s endpoint systems infrastructure. This position manages and supports Windows, macOS, Apple iPads, student rental devices, laptops, desktops, tablets, and select mobile devices across the organization. The role requires a solid understanding of mobile device management, endpoint management platforms, and printer server administration, including Microsoft Intune, SCCM, JAMF, Apple School Manager, and print management services. The position will install, configure, test, maintain, and monitor operating systems, application software, third-party software integrations, printer servers, device configurations, and system management tools while ensuring high levels of client systems availability, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Configuration, implementation, and management of imaging systems.
  • Configuration, implementation, and management of application deployment systems.
  • Deployment of desktop images and configurations to computers efficiently.
  • Configuration and implementation of patch management systems for Windows and Apple devices, laptops, tablets, and other mobile devices.
  • Manage mobile device management and endpoint management platforms, including Microsoft Intune, SCCM, JAMF, and Apple School Manager.
  • Manage and maintain Windows devices, Macs, Apple iPads, student rental equipment, laptops, desktops, tablets, and supported mobile devices throughout their lifecycle.
  • Develop software imaging methods for Tier 2 onsite technicians to deploy to endpoint devices.
  • Troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
  • Develop and implement a software update schedule for technicians to follow.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Support third-party software integrations, licensing, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting for academic and operational applications, including Maple licensing, A-Tech Automotive software, testing center software, and similar campus technology platforms.
  • Administer printer servers and print management services, including printer deployment, queue management, driver management, troubleshooting, access control, and coordination with vendors or technicians to resolve printing issues.
  • Communicate with technicians to identify and explain solutions.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Write, test, document, and maintain PowerShell and Linux scripts to improve system efficiency, automate endpoint tasks, and reduce manual intervention while following change-control and validation practices.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Evaluate and recommend new hardware and software.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3 years of systems experience in a Microsoft server and desktop environment.
  • Experience with local area networks and servers including installation and troubleshooting processor based personal computer use and support; Microsoft Windows and Office; Apple products, and a wide range of applications software.
  • Hands-on experience with mobile device management and endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, JAMF, and Apple School Manager.
  • Preferred certifications include CompTIA Network+, JAMF certification, and Microsoft Intune or Microsoft endpoint management certifications.
  • Strong PowerShell and Linux scripting skills are required.
  • Experience supporting third-party software integrations, license management, application deployment, and vendor coordination for specialized instructional, testing, and operational systems preferred.
  • Strong printer server administration experience required, including printer deployment, driver management, print queue troubleshooting, and support of enterprise print environments.
  • Associate's degree in related field or appropriate certifications with technical training required.
