Job summary

Stifel is seeking an IT Technician II to perform technical troubleshooting, diagnose root causes, and document incidents in the data center environment. You will provide hardware and software support across the organization and act as a first responder to alerts and escalations.

Ideal candidates have experience with Windows troubleshooting, IT monitoring tools, and Helpdesk ticketing systems, with strong communication and documentation skills. This on-site role supports our Dallas-area offices.

Qualifications

• Experience with IT monitoring and event management tools.
• Basic Level 1 troubleshooting of Windows endpoints and infrastructure devices.
• Experience with Helpdesk ticketing systems.
• Experience with office productivity, reporting, and technical documentation software.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and support PCs and peripherals for employees.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting and basic tech support to end-users.
• Install, monitor, and maintain telecom systems.
• Act as First Responder to alerts reaching thresholds.
• Serve as escalation point within IT Service Desk for incidents.

What You’ll Be Doing

The IT Technician II performs technical troubleshooting and diagnosis of root cause, and performs the steps necessary to fully log the incident, including the troubleshooting steps taken to resolve the incident. Provides technical support across hardware and software applications for an organizations data center.

What We're Looking For

• Installs, maintains, and supports personal computing devices and associated peripherals for the organization's employees.
• Provides first-level troubleshooting and basic technical support services to end-users of computers.
• Installs, monitors, and maintains existing or proposed telecommunication systems.
• Serve as the First Responder to event alerts triggered when monitored applications, hardware, services, procedures, jobs, and file transmissions reach a pre-defined threshold that indicates an exception which must be responded to and resolved
• Serve as a technical escalation point within the IT Service Desk function, and respond to multiple channels reporting incidents and requests.

• Expertise in working with IT monitoring and event management tools.
• Strong in Level 1 troubleshooting of networked Windows end points and infrastructure devices.
• Experience with Helpdesk and customer relationship ticketing systems.
• Experience with office productivity, reporting, and technical documentation software.
• Experience with monitoring and event management tools.

Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum Required: 2-4 years professional business related experience
