Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician program preferred.
  • 0–2 years healthcare experience required.
  • 1–3 years endoscopy experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of disinfection protocols and aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to support procedural teams and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for endoscopic procedures.
  • Assist physicians and teams with patient positioning during procedures.
  • Clean, decontaminate, and perform high-level disinfection of endoscopes per guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot endoscope issues to minimize delays.
  • Handle, label, and document specimens and cultures per policy.
  • Maintain supply inventory and remove expired items as needed.
  • Maintain department records, including quality control documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling, preoperative calls, and medical record organization.
