Job summary

Laredo Medical Center in Texas is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support patient-centered care during endoscopic procedures and maintain equipment for safety and compliance.

You will prepare rooms, assist with patient positioning, disinfect equipment, manage supplies, and help with scheduling and records to ensure smooth procedures. This role requires attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician program preferred.
• 0-2 years of healthcare experience required; 1-3 years endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and set up equipment, instruments and supplies for each endoscopic procedure.
• Assist procedural teams and support patient positioning during procedures.
• Clean, decontaminate and high-level disinfect endoscopic equipment per guidelines.
• Troubleshoot endoscopes and related equipment to minimize delays.
• Handle specimens and cultures with proper labeling and documentation.
• Monitor inventory and remove expired items; maintain records and QC documentation.
• Assist with scheduling, calls and medical record organization for readiness.
• Transport patients and supplies safely; perform other duties as assigned.
