Job summary

Eastgate Surgery Center in Cincinnati, OH seeks an Endoscopy Technician to support safe, high-quality patient care through cleaning, high-level disinfection, and inventory control of endoscopic instruments.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Responsibilities include instrument maintenance, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of endoscopy reprocessing and high-level disinfection standards.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Prior healthcare, endoscopy, or sterile processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, inspection, and high-level disinfection of endoscopic instruments and equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of reprocessing equipment and proper use within the processing area.
• Use, monitor, and document chemical disinfectants according to policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Follow established protocols for decontaminating, cleaning, flushing, and disinfecting endoscopic equipment.
• Inspect instruments and equipment for functionality and integrity.
• Track loaned instruments and equipment to ensure completeness and timely return.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to reprocessing and chemical monitoring.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of endoscopy supplies and equipment.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
