Job summary

A healthcare provider in Falls Church is seeking an Endoscopy Tech 2 to join the team. This role is PRN with various shifts. Responsibilities include demonstrating advanced knowledge of anatomy, anticipating the needs of the endoscopist, and collaborating with team members. Candidates must have 1 year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician and a high school diploma. Certification in Basic Life Support is required upon start.

Qualifications

• 1 year Endoscopy Technician experience required.
• Certification - Basic Life Support from AHA upon start.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates - Associates Program Completion required upon start.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge and practice in the role of the Endo tech.
• Expedites the procedure by anticipating the needs of the endoscopist.
• Shares knowledge with staff regarding devices/techniques and procedures.
• Expedites the procedure by anticipating the needs of the endoscopist.
• Demonstrates collaboration with other team members in planning/giving patient care; actively shares knowledge with staff regarding devices/techniques and procedures.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Overview

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Endoscopy Tech 2 to join the team. This role will be PRN. Ten or Twelve hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

• Certification - Basic Life Support from AHA UPON START
• Experience - 1 year Endoscopy Technician experience. Additional Note: Leader recommendation for promotion from Endoscopy Technician 1
• Education - High School diploma or equivalent.
