Job summary

The Endoscopy Technician (Therapeutic) position at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is a hands-on role supporting endoscopic procedures and assisting the Endoscopist with advanced therapies in a major Philadelphia health system.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma, CPR, SGNA program preferred, and at least two years of Endoscopy experience; the role requires setting up and maintaining equipment and preparing specimens in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Completion of SGNA Associates Program preferred.
• Two (2) years experience in an Endoscopy setting.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists Endoscoptist with procedures including advanced therapeutic procedures.

Endoscopy Technicians (Therapeutic)

are responsible for the following:

• Assists Endoscoptist with procedures including advanced therapeutic procedures.
• Oversees set up, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced endoscopic equipment.
• Aids in the collection and preparation of specimens.

The Endoscopy Technician (Therapeutic) functions as a technical expert assisting in the performance of both standard and advanced endoscopic procedures. Qualifications for this position include:

• High School Diploma
• Completion of SGNA Associates Program preferred
• Two (2) years experience in an Endoscopy setting
• CPR certification
