AdventHealth Lenexa is seeking a dedicated endoscopy support professional to monitor instruments, assist under RN/physician supervision, and keep the endoscopy suite prepared and ready for procedures. You will check equipment, support patient positioning and draping, and ensure a clean, safe work environment in a fast-paced setting.

Strong communication skills, teamwork, and flexibility for day shifts and on-call hours are essential.

Formación

• Basic computer and keyboarding skills required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• English fluency in speaking, reading and writing is required.
• Capability to perform in a high-stress, physically demanding setting.
• Experience or knowledge in Gastroenterology is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and handle endoscopy instruments and supplies.
• Follow procedures for high-level disinfection and monitoring.
• Assist physicians and nurses under supervision during procedures with patient prep.
• Prepare rooms with supplies and equipment for each endoscopy case.
• Ensure correct handling of specimens and proper equipment operation.
• Assist in positioning, prepping, and draping patients during procedures.
• Maintain an orderly, safe endoscopy suite and respond to physician needs.

Job Description:

Monitors levels of all endoscopy instruments and supplies. Follows written procedures for high-level disinfection and chemical and biological monitoring. Performs treatments and procedures within the defined scope of practice. Provides supportive care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and physician. Ensures the endoscopy suite is adequately prepared for procedures. Prepares the room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment for each endoscopy procedure. Demonstrates competence in the care and accurate handling of specimens. Checks all equipment and instruments needed prior to each procedure to ensure proper functioning. Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for endoscopy procedures. Maintains an orderly environment and anticipates the needs of the physician during procedures. Demonstrates proficiency in the setup of multi-specialty endoscopy procedures. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrates dexterity, knowledge, and safety in the care and handling of endoscopy instrumentation and supplies.
