Job summary

Westside Surgical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support safe, high-quality patient care through cleaning, high-level disinfection, maintenance, and inventory control of endoscopic instruments and supplies.

You will follow regulatory requirements and center policies, maintain documentation, monitor chemical disinfectants, and ensure timely return of loaned instruments; prior healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of endoscopy reprocessing and high-level disinfection standards.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Prior healthcare, endoscopy, or sterile processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, inspection, and high-level disinfection of endoscopic instruments and equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of reprocessing equipment and proper use within the processing area.
• Use, monitor, and document chemical disinfectants according to policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Follow established protocols for decontaminating, cleaning, flushing, and disinfecting endoscopic equipment.
• Inspect instruments and equipment for functionality and integrity.
• Track loaned instruments and equipment to ensure completeness and timely return.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to reprocessing and chemical monitoring.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of endoscopy supplies and equipment.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Westside Surgical Center is an ambulatory surgery center located in Cincinnati, Ohio. With two operating rooms, and four procedure rooms, the center provides high-quality, cost-effective outpatient procedural care primarily for GI, Endoscopies, and Ophthalmologic care.

Owned and operated in partnership with BSMH, Gastro Health, and Compass Surgical Partners, the Westside Center combines advanced technology with compassionate, patient-centered care in a convenient setting.

Role Summary
The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the cleaning, high-level disinfection, maintenance, and inventory control of endoscopic instruments, equipment, and reusable medical supplies in accordance with nationally recognized standards, regulatory requirements, and center policies to support safe, high-quality patient care.

Hours: Monday- Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, and patient-care activities
• Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs (occasionally up to 40 lbs; rarely up to 100 lbs)
• Regular interaction with patients of varying ages in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, and chemical hazards consistent with the surgical setting
