Qualifications

• Completion of a gastroenterology or endoscopy technician training program or 1 year of related experience in a health care setting with completion of a Certified Medical Assistant, Operating Room Tech or Nursing Aide program., upon hire
• Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor, upon hire
• Certified Nursing Assistant: WA, upon hire
• Surgical Technologist Registration: WA, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleaning processes for scopes and the cleaning, disinfecting and storage areas on a daily basis.
• Assists in preparing procedure areas and maintaining equipment.
• Provides assistance to a licensed health care practitioner with patient care during endoscopy procedures.
• Performs routine maintenance of scopes and endoscopic equipment.
• Troubleshoots scopes and participates in infection control studies.

Education

Gastroenterology or endoscopy technician training program

1 year related healthcare experience (CMA/OR Tech/Nursing Aide)

Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor

Certified Nursing Assistant: WA

Surgical Technologist Registration: WA
