Job Description:

Working under the direction of a nurse, this clinical staff position contributes to the Hospital’s mission by assisting in preparing rooms and equipment and supporting patient care to ensure a safe, efficient environment. The role emphasizes compassion, empathy, and respect, with a focus on reducing patient harm through proper cleaning and disinfection of equipment and scopes.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Certified Nurse’s Assistant course or Nursing Student with two clinical rotations

Experience:

• Required: Phlebotomy, EKG, or Nursing Assistant
• Preferred: ACU or Medical/Surgical experience

Skills and Certifications:

• Basic computer skills
• Effective communication in English
• Preferred: Nursing Assistant Certification
• Life Support Certification: BLS required

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to respond to changing needs and unanticipated situations
• Physical and mental ability to perform duties
• Contact with potentially infectious materials and hazardous chemicals
• Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 as per hospital policy
