Emory Healthcare in Warner Robins, GA is seeking a patient care assistant to support nursing staff, ensure cleanliness, and provide necessary supplies. A current BLS certification and a high school diploma or GED are required.
Experience in hospital or physician office settings is preferred, with shifts that may include on-call requirements. Under supervision of a registered nurse, you will help organize and maintain an efficient unit, assist with basic patient care, and adhere to care plans and
Work Shift: Under the general supervision of a registered nurse, assists in ensuring an effectively organized and operational unit through appropriate cleaning, care, disinfection, ordering and utilization of instruments and equipment. Provides needed supplies in accordance with Houston Healthcare's Plan for the Provision of Nursing Care, standards of care and standards of performance. Assists with patient care as directed. Current BLS required.
Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment. Knowledge of procedures and techniques in administering and providing basic patient care services. Knowledge of medical terminology. Effective communication skills, solid team player and a commitment to providing excellent patient service and professionalism. Must be able to utilize personal protective equipment such as gloves, gown, mask, etc.
