Baystate Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to join the Chestnut Surgery Center in Springfield, MA. The role supports endoscopy and GI procedures under supervision, with a Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:30 PM schedule and on-site supervision.
The incumbent performs data collection, specimen processing, patient prep, procedure assistance, and equipment upkeep while ensuring safety and compliance in a high‑quality care environment.
Full Time (40 hrs/week) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Alternating Days) Call Requirement: Weekday and Weekend Call Summary: Accountable to and perform duties under the direct, on-site supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or physician when providing delegated patient care tasks. The Endoscopy Technician performs a variety of direct and indirect clinical patient care activities and technical skills in the diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology / endoscopy practice setting within the established department policies and procedures. This description establishes the minimum essential responsibilities and functions within the scope of practice of this position. The incumbent is expected to perform similar or related duties as assigned after demonstrating competency.
