Job summary

HUMBLE VASCULAR SURGICAL CENTER INC is seeking an Endoscopy Supervisor (RN) to manage daily endoscopy operations in Lombard, IL. The role oversees procedure scheduling, staffing, inventory, and QA/QI while ensuring compliance with policies and patient rights.

Requirements include an accredited nursing degree, current RN license, and BLS/ACLS (PALS preferred). Prior endoscopy experience of 2+ years is expected, with leadership responsibilities and collaboration with the Clinical Manager.

• Patient survey response and damage control.

JOB TITLE:

ENDOSCOPY SUPERVISOR (RN)

SALARY RANGE:

$105,000 - $120,000 annually, based on skill and experience level.

Essential Functions

Managing day-to-day operations of the endoscopy area. This includes but is not limited to overseeing the scheduling of procedures, scheduling and managing staff, inventory control, human resources, staff credentialing, preventive maintenance and safety, QA/QI, and risk management.

Clinical Manager

Education/Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of endoscopy experience.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Required Licensure And Certifications

• Current State RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification, PALS preferred
• ASPAN membership preferred

Responsibilties

• Clinical Operations Management
  • Monitor day-to-day internal flow of patient schedules and staffing assignments/schedules
  • Backup to endoscopy RN, endoscopy tech, scope washer
  • Maintain adherence to operating policy/procedure manuals
  • Weekly scheduled meetings with administration and/or managers
  • Patient Survey Response Damage Control
• Direct Report of Lab Tech position
• Demonstrates current, comprehensive professional knowledge and skills in conformance with recognized nursing standards and department policies including the Patient Bill of Rights and AAAHC regulations, Standards for Nursing Care and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Consults with physician and other health care team members in planning care and establishing desired outcomes.
• Inventory
  • Oversee ordering of supplies
  • Coordinate Equipment Repairs/needs
• QA/Compliance Management
• Practices within federal, state and nurse practice guidelines and regulations.
• Help with the following:
  • Maintain compliance and risk management (generator, pharmacy review, radiology, State Inspections, Infection Control reports, and incident reports
  • Manage QA program (QA checklists/audits, Peer Review, quality improvement, quality assurance, employee competency
  • Coordinate and accountable for yearly inspections (life safety, pharmacy, radiology, biohazard, etc.)
  • Quarterly Board Meetings (backup coordinator as needed)
• Employee Management:
  • Employee education and risk management
  • Maintain employee health records and keep files up to date
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings
  • Communicate weekly employee updates
  • Employee evaluations
  • Employee HR Issues
